I recently graduated from NIU, with a degree in biology and plan to go to Rockford College, in the fall to get my masters in teaching. I have been an employee of Catch the Wave for over 5 years. Kelli Darin

Hi, my name is Kelli Darin. I’ve lived in the South Beloit area all of my life. I’ve been married almost 25 years and have two wonderful children that are both in college. I stayed home to raise my kids for ten years while doing a lot of volunteer work. I’ve also coached a Pom squad, coached cheerleading teams, and had a café at a local auction house.  I love to cook. I love to be around children. Volunteer work is a passion I have and hope to be able to donate my time for a very long time.  Catch the Wave has opened many new doors for me and I look forward to seeing  the smiling faces of all of the CTW families!

Penny Wallace

Hi my name is Penny Wallace. I am a mother to Forrest who will be heading to RVC in the fall, and Autumn who is going into 6th grade. I have been married for almost 28 years to my high school sweet heart. I have lived in the area for most of my life. I work at a local grade school in the kitchen. I love to cook and I love seeing children of all ages. I am glad I have the opportunity to teach them something that I feel is very important for everyone to know. I didn’t learn to properly swim until I was an adult even though I have always loved to swim. I enjoy swimming for exercise and now I realize that it is great exercise and fun for all ages. Being close with my family and friends is something I enjoy very much and has always been very important to me. I enjoy canning, quilting (again in the future), reading (when I have the chance), and being able every now and then to enjoy a day of total relaxation watching various movies.

Aaron Roberson

I’ve been a lifeguard for ten years and a swim instructor for over nine years. I’ve been swimming in pools since I was six years old. I’m certified in CPR, First Aid, proper AED usage, and WSI (Water Safety Instructor). I have never had a major incident while I was on duty due to the constant enforcement of safety rules and regulations. I’m the co-host of the video “True Gamer Dimensions” I’m one of the newest contributors to the website and media group the The Gamer Studio. I’m the project leader and founder of our upcoming video series yet to be titled and I’m an actor for short videos, skits, and other projects for the local Rockford director Wyatt Elliott.

Megan Caulk

Hi, my name Megan Caulk. I attended Wilbur Wright College in the great city of Chicago, majoring in radiology last year and will finish up at Rockford College this year. I am twenty years old and have been working around pools or the past five years. Throughout my years working as a lifeguard, swim teacher, and a swim team coach, I have realized I love working with children. Being able to help children mostly every day of the summer brightens up my day. With my little free time, I love going for long runs/walks and volunteering to help out the community. I am excited to teach at Catch the Wave this year.
