Policies and Guidelines – Catch the Wave Swim Club, Inc.

All policies are subject to change without notice. Catch the Wave Swim Club reserves the right to do so in order to ensure program efficiency and accuracy.

FACILITY FEES
No Facility Fee.

REGISTRATION POLICY
Catch the Wave Swim Classes are ongoing.  Registration is also ongoing and class times are available on CATCHtheWAVEswim.com.  Customers will be automatically and continually registered until a 30-DAY WRITTEN NOTICE from the customer is received.

REGISTRATION FEE

$35 one time family registration fee.  If you are a former CTW swimmer a re-registration fee of $10 per family

CLASS SIZES
All of our classes – except for Baby Swim classes – have four or fewer students per instructor.  Catch the Wave reserves the right to cancel classes with only one (1) or two (2) students registered.

EQUIPMENT
Catch the Wave requires swim cap and goggles.  You may borrow these items from Catch the Wave.  Students need only bring a swimsuit and towel.

DIAPERS
It is mandatory that all children not fully potty-trained must comply with our double-diaper policy.  One must be a cloth, reusable, plastic-lined diaper.

DROPPING A CLASS
There are no prorated refunds or credits for missed or dropped classes.  Credit for medical situations supported in a written acknowledgement from a licensed medical practitioner will be extended from the DATE WE RECEIVE them.  Retroactive requests for medical credit will not be granted.

AUTO PAY
All payments are perpetual by direct debit.  This ensures the student will not lose his or her spot.  This payment comes out once a month using a debit card or credit card. You may still change your class time, if needed.  If you wish to take a break from lessons, a 30-DAY WRITTEN NOTICE must be received.  These forms are available at the front desk.  Lessons and auto pay will stop 30 days from when we receive the written request

MAKE-UPS
Call Catch the Wave at 815-713-4481 and let us know that your child will be missing the class. 

Make-ups may be redeemed by calling between 8 and 10 am on the morning you wish to use the makeup.  To qualify for a make-up, the scheduled lesson must be cancelled by 10 a.m. on the scheduled lesson date. Make up class or use this for an open swimming during the posted times.  Once a make-up lesson is scheduled, and additional cancellation will deem the make-up no longer valid. There will be no advanced make-up reservations taken.  No fee to book a makeup lesson.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Please check the web site or message board near our viewing area for any messages or upcoming programs and other activities.

CANCELLATIONS
Bad weather may warrant cancellation of classes. We will announce cancellations on CATCHtheWAVEswim.com.

ILLNESS
Any student displaying symptoms of diarrhea, fever, or any contagious illness are prohibited from participating in Catch the Wave Swim Club activities.

Tardiness

If a participant is late, they may join the class for the remainder of the lesson. In this case, missed class time cannot be made up. There are no refunds for missed class time due to tardiness.

Instructor Requests

We will always do our best to honor requests. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to honor requests for specific instructors. Catch the Wave reserves the right to change instructors and/or reassign an instructor to a different location at any time.

Parental Supervision

To ensure the safety of your child, all participants are to observe the rules of the pool at all times. Please to not allow your child to enter the pool until class starts. Students must exit the pool upon conclusion of the class.

Refer a friend and earn Penguin Cash

If you are a current or former client of Catch the Wave Swim Club and you refer a NEW family to Catch the Wave and they register and pay for a minimum of four months of swimming lessons, you will earn $25 in Penguin Cash. This Penguin Cash can be used towards membership fees, facility fees, birthday parties, or swimming lessons. (No cash value-excludes merchandise.)
