After learning to swim with the Catch the Wave curriculum at J&J in Pecatonica, Warren and his family went on vacation to the Wisconsin Dells. During their visit to the indoor water park, Warren decided to go down one of the big tube slides. When he hit the water the current kept him from lifting his head up to breath. Remembering what he had learned in swim class, Warren rolled over onto his back and began to call for help. Way to go Warren!
Nicolas and his family were on spring vacation. They were staying in a hotel in Arkansas where Nicolas met a little friend who was 5 years old. Nicolas, who has taken several lessons from Catch the Wave, jumped into the deep end of the pool. The little 5 year old boy followed and could not swim that well. Nicolas swam over to the boy and pulled him to the wall by his swim shirt. Way to go Nicolas, our junior lifesaver of the month !
I've tried several other local programs and we just were not making progress. Within a few lessons, Catch the Wave's fun and gentle program worked to ease my child's anxiety by teaching him the correct breathing and floating techniques. He now loves the water and is well on his way to swimming independently. I couldn't be happier!
