Why Families Choose Catch the Wave

Introducing The BraveSwim™ Method

Survival First. Confidence Always.

Built for real-life water readiness, the BraveSwim™ Method helps swimmers stay calm under pressure and respond confidently in any environment.

Once vital self-rescue skills are mastered, swimmers seamlessly progress into stroke development, endurance, and lifelong confidence. Each lesson blends survival-first safety with joy, structure, and steady progress — turning water skills into life skills that last far beyond the pool.

BraveSwim gives every child the skills, confidence, and calm they need to be safer in and around the water—and to grow into capable swimmers for life.

The Reality We Prepare For

Drowning Happens Fast. And It’s Silent.

#1 cause of accidental death for kids ages 1–4

Many drownings occur even when adults are nearby

Drowning can happen in as little as 20 seconds — and without a single splash.

Formal swim lessons can reduce drowning risk by up to 88%.

At Catch the Wave, water safety comes first — teaching real survival skills for real situations, reinforced through hands-on Water Safety Challenges, so families can feel confident beyond the pool.

This is why we teach survival first — and why we’re more than a traditional swim lesson.

Water Safety Challenges

To reinforce BraveSwim™ survival skills, we offer optional, age-appropriate Water Safety Challenges at no additional cost:

During these challenges, swimmers practice applying their survival skills fully clothed — entering the water and demonstrating age-appropriate safety responses in more realistic conditions.

Water Safety Challenges are offered on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Please check with your local Catch the Wave office for upcoming dates and availability.
